The pirates own the island, and any encounter could just as easily lead to your death as theirs. You start with only your knife, and you'll never have better gear than what your enemies are equipped with (i.e. This all sounds simple enough, but some of the most memorable moments I've had playing this game were through self-directed survival expeditions in this format. And treat all your weapon slots as empty - the first weapon you find is the first weapon you can use, and so on. That's all there is to it.Ī few caveats: no fast travel, shopping, or tagging enemies. The Scavenger/Survivor way of playing has kept me coming back to Far Cry 3 again and again. ![]()
